Hey, nice article learned new things from this. What about if your niche doesn’t have any search volyme in those keywords like: best….,guide…..,…..review and so on. And no keyword search in product brand name + model numbers. The searches in google are like this: product brand name example sony tv, black&decker drill..but its too diffucult with those keywords to get on googles first page. Should I instead write articles on keywords with 100-1k searches per month? Or do more youtube videos and and try to promote my site on forums?
I want to make it clear, when I say that I was often rated lower for not choosing to phrase something the same way a Textbroker editor would have phrased it, it was not because I used improper grammar and they were correcting that, it was just because they liked their way better. For instance, if I wrote in an article: “On Tuesday, September 2, 2014, school resumes for students residing in the Ashley, MI school district.” It would not be at all unusual for some Textbroker editor to rate and review my article, exert the above sentence, explain to me that it should say: “On September 2 of 2014, Tuesday, school resumes for students living in Ashley, MI school district.” and tell me that I received a lower rating because I did not say it that way. Well, I’m sorry, but as long as my grammar is correct I don’t believe I deserve to be rated low just because I didn’t write something the way someone else would have.
If you are a budding photographer and would like to be paid for your craft then you should consider setting up your own photography website. This is a great way to not only promote your services as a photographer, but also to sell your images. You can charge visitors a fee to download your images. Or, if you’d rather, turn your site into a paid membership site, with free downloads of all images for paying subscribers.
Despite the political fallout surrounding GoDaddy, from a purely technical perspective, many of their sites load extremely slow(this could be the result of trying to cram as many sites on to the same shared server for maximum profitability). I know of several Web Designers that refuse to have their clients hosted on GoDaddy just for this reason alone. A few months ago, several sites that were hosted by GoDaddy went down and despite the rumors, they weren’t hacked; but, it was an internal technical issue as admitted by them. Not exactly a glowing testimonial as a reason to use their service.

It's worth noting before we begin that *most* freelance positions do not come with attached fees — freelance writing, short tasks, work at home data entry jobs, search evaluation, and some transcription companies. You are mainly going to see the fees with employee positions — particularly call center work from home. Still, the list below is a mix of freelance and employee positions.
Backlinks: Now that your site is up and running, you will need to get it on the front page of search results to get targeted traffic. For this you have to do link building process. Don’t just get some cheap service that builds spammy links as they no longer will help. I suggest you to do this manually as you will know the exact location from where the backlink is coming. I would suggest you to go with Pat Flynn’s backlinking strategy as it is the most effective one.
If you’ve got a way with words and expertise in a niche, there are plenty of sites that will pay for articles and content you write. Think of the sites you read regularly. What can you contribute to them that would be interesting? Research your niche and then look for ways to pitch articles. Many sites will simply have a submission or contact link in the footer. To get started, check out my full guide to becoming a freelance writer on the side and then submit your articles to places like Listverse, TopTenz, A List Apart, International Living, FundsforWriters, and Textbroker.

SEO Specialists are important for companies to maintain their online ranking. You can provide targeted keywords, taglines, title tags and meta tags to the companies as well as help them with backlinks to make sure they can maintain and grow their Google organic ranking. Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer, Facebook, and Pinterest are among the places you can find these side hustles.
If you love to travel and find yourself randomly searching for airfare sales or browsing Lonely Planet, why not carve out a niche for yourself as a private travel agent? My friend, Mark Jackson did just that, making extra money online with his travel consulting side business. Start with word of mouth recommendations from friends who know they can count on you for the cheapest flights, and then move on and create a Facebook or LinkedIn group to invite people who want to stay on top of the latest deals. Eventually you could spin this into a full-time consultancy teaching people how to make their dream trip a reality.

2. I’m having trouble generating a large list of base keywords. I tried to follow the example in Samara’s coaching call video and I used seed keywords ranging from 1-5 words in length and I used your modifiers such as “best”, “vs”, and “and”. I wound up with a list of 201 words. I’m sure it’s operator error here, so any tips for building a better seed keyword list?

Really like the different views and how readers think of them (via the poll results). I think the best thing one can do once you sense the potential of your site, is to stick it out and stay tough during the hard times. I mean I was looking at the sporadic posting (in the initial months) on some of the popular blogs we read now. Few months later, you find the owner stuck with the site and with renewed energy, built more useful content and connections – which lead to more good things.

If you have a propensity for writing and you can slay with your prose, consider writing an ebook. While the market has certainly become saturated as of late, books that help teach people about a technical topic still sell extremely well. This is a great source of passive income but does require a large amount of effort at the outset before any money is generated.
As someone who's been immersed in a number of online industries for quite some time, I know a thing or two about what it takes to succeed in this arena. However, just like you, I started at ground zero with little knowledge, but a great deal of passion. What I learned along the way were some invaluable lessons from failure that hurt at the time, but helped immensely in the grand scheme of things.
Working as a freelancer is a great way to make money online from the comfort of your own home. The beauty of freelancing is that you can tailor it to suit your needs. You can freelance for a couple of hours a week in the evenings to help save up for a holiday or some much needed home improvements. Or carve out a full-time job for yourself, giving you a more satisfying work-life balance and enabling you to do the simpler things in life like taking the kids to school. With so many jobs available online, freelancing is becoming more and more popular.
Learn then selling guidelines. Each marketplace has guidelines that define what you can and cannot sell. State and federal laws also impact what items are prohibited. In general, you cannot sell alcohol, weapons, service contracts, animals or event tickets. Also, while not always prohibited, you may find restrictions on how you can sell items in some categories, such as art, gift cards and coupons.[27] eBay, Craigslist and Amazon publish these guidelines on their websites.
Textbroker, in my opinion, is horrible. I used to do quite a bit of work for the company and so, can speak from personal experience. For starters the editors there are like the coma police. If you insert just one slightly questionable coma, or leave just one out, they will rate your entire article down. I know, from having read many reviews and comments about the site, that many others have this same complaint.
Be professional. When you submit a résumé, don’t type it in ALL CAPS and please don’t avoid the caps lock like the plague. Know how to use it without looking incompetent. Write in complete sentences with proper grammar. Of course, there will be exceptions, but even with the exceptions, you must keep it professional. You’re building their view of you.
Blogger, which you can set up for free in less than five minutes, automates Google AdSense so that you can make money with your blog by displaying ads and getting paid when people click on the ads. To make more money, set up an affiliate program (see below) for books, music, and more, and insert your affiliate links whenever you refer to those items. A good strategy to set you on the path to success is selecting a unique topic, writing intelligent copy, and telling all your friends. You'll be off to a better start with a targeted audience.

2. You Only Have To Be a Fraction Better – Whatever niche you’re trying to get into just remember that the first site that gets the eyeballs also gets the biggest pay day. If you can be only marginally better than your competition then you’re the one who will reap the biggest rewards. If you remember that it makes your goals that much more attainable because niche websites usually have a lot of room for improvement.
If you are great at typing fast and transcribing, this is for you! By signing up at Transcribe Me, you get to work on tasks where you are expected to turn audios and videos into text form. What’s more, you get to determine your work schedule and have the opportunity to have a career progression. All that you need is a computer connected to the internet and your transcription skills. Tracking of your weekly work is easy and in real-time. You also get to request for your payment at anytime as long as you have a minimum balance of $20. This is released in a fast and secure way through PayPal every Thursday before 9 a.m. EST.
Research individual companies in your desired niche: If possible, it’s always better to become an affiliate directly with a company (if they have an internal affiliate program), as no one else will be dipping into your commission rate. This is the preferred route for most of the prominent affiliate marketers, including Pat Flynn. Unfortunately, it’s also the most work, as you’ll have to do the research yourself to see who offers programs (they’re usually listed in the website footer).

My friend, Mark Jackson did just that, making extra money online with his travel consulting side business. Other Data Entry Jobs are provided by medical centers, pharmacies and other business organizations that have a lot of data and they would prefer to hire people online who will input relevant information into their corporate database. If you have the skills you can easily provide these services and make extra money from home in a legit, decent and fast way.
Research. You need to know what others are selling before you decide what wares you will offer. Lots of people sell handmade items, but those who work hard to make their items unique in some way are the ones who truly stand out. After you’ve decided on a product, check out the other sellers on Etsy and find what they’re offering, and then figure out how you can do it differently.

High-ticket consulting or coaching: You could sell your own high-ticket consulting or coaching products from your website. You'll still need a website, merchant account, sales funnel, lead magnet and many other items. But you can easily earn a substantial amount of money from each individual customer, making it well worth the arduous setup required.
Once you’ve gathered a list, put together a template outreach email (as you’ll be doing this over and over) that’s short and clear with expectations. Tell your potential interviewee who you are, what your podcast is about, and what you’re asking of them. Do a few test interviews with friends and family to make sure everything is being recorded at the quality you want and then book your first episode.
Even though these online jobs are ideal for people with no prior experience, it is always great to have side earners for a little spare change. I highly recommend signing up for Slice the Pie where I earn around $100 – $200 per month writing short music reviews, rating fashions, testing cell phone apps, and more. You can also earn a little extra by scanning your grocery receipts with Ibotta. Last month I earned an $258.00 sent immediately via Paypal.
Find products and services which you can offer in that target niche market. How are you going to monetize your offering? Will you write content and monetize with Google Adsense and other contextual ads? If that’s the case, use Google adword keyword tool to see how much advertisers are already paying for the keywords sin your niche market. If you are planning to use Affiliate marketing, find out relevant affiliates in that target market. If you are planning to sell your own products and services, find out what products and services you are going to sell and validate whether people are going to buy it or not.
SwagBucks PayPal gift card redemption is definitely not instant. Their website says it can take up to 10 business days. I have cashed in several PayPal gift cards with them and it could take anywhere from 24 hours to the full 10 days to receive them. About 5 business days seems to be most common. Don’t get me wrong…I love earning with SwagBucks. But Paypal payment is definitely not instant.
When was the last time you went to a new restaurant without looking it up online beforehand? Or bought a product that didn’t have at least a few 5-star reviews? It seems like more and more our world is run on reviews. And you can make money online by writing them. Get started by creating accounts on sites like Vindale research, Software Judge, FameBit, CrowdTap, Influence Central, and Modern Mom. However, before you run off and start writing, be sure to check the small print on each of these sites. Writing reviews isn’t a huge source of guaranteed income and you want to make sure that it’s worth your time before you get going.

Is there a product or service that you are particularly enthusiastic about? If you are, you may be able to develop a website that is built around selling it. You don’t have to be the actual provider of the product or service either. There are many businesses that offer these products and will allow you to sell them on an affiliate basis. For example, you may be able to sell a product on your website for a commission of 20% or 30% of the sale price.

6. Pay more attention to paid traffic, especially Facebook advertising in 2015. This has been a big shift in my strategy. Google is unpredictable. And SEO traffic is not really free as people say. Paid traffic is different. You turn it on when you need it. Unless you stop paying, you consistently get traffic. The key is to get the math right with a good sales funnel.

Not only should you never have to pay anything for independent contractor work – unless you choose to get yourself a certification to open up your job options – but you should never give away any work for free when bidding on a job or pursuing a contract. Don’t work on spec – meaning, don’t create a finished piece of work before the client formally agrees to pay you.
3. Go the Other Way – It’s not enough to see someone who’s successful and say “I can do that”. If you want to stand out you need to figure out how to be different. When building my coupon sites I saw a gap in the market. There were huge “we’ve got everything” sites like RetailMeNot and small mom blogs who were happy to post whatever they could make a commission on.
Online business is how I’ve made a living since 2003 and what has helped me retire early.  I make over $40,000 a month through my blog. You can create your own blog here with my easy 15-minute step-by-step tutorial.  You can start a blog for as little as $2.95 a month (less than a cup of coffee!).  Create a blog and leverage it into affiliate sales or product endorsement deals. Consider topics like:
The first place to start is checking out Pat Flynn, the founder of Smart Passive Income. It’s a tremendous resource with over 145 free podcasts and blog posts where Pat shares his wins, losses, and lessons, and interviews guests who are making money online in numerous ways. He could easily charge a monthly membership fee to access this gold mine of content, but he gives it all away for free (or at least 99% of it).

You CAN write your own Kindle book, even if you aren't a writer.  I've seen many people do it and have success doing it.  Heck, I wrote my first Kindle books without any experience writing previously.  Writing is a skill that can be learned and developed.  There are courses that can help you write your own book and show you how to do it faster than you could do it on your own, but again, it is NOT required.
Just curious, how much time would you say it would take the average person who has a decent understanding of how to do much of what you covered to get through all of these steps? Just a rough estimate. And how long, again, on average, after doing all of this would it take before that person starts seeing $500/month in a medium competitive niche – one that you would consider being pretty ideal?
Years ago, I joined Epinions and wrote reviews of products I liked. The model was simple – write a review, get paid a little for every pageview and every commissionable sale the review generated. It was a fun little foray into the Internet and getting paid to write about a product seemed fun. Epinions was later acquired by eBay and shuttered in 2014.
21. Facebook – Facebook swap shops are great for selling things locally. It’s like CraigsList, but a little easier. You simply search for swap shops in your area and ask to join the group. Once you’re in, take a picture of the item, write a quick description with the price and post it. It doesn’t get much easier than that. You can generally expect to get about what you would get at a yard sale, maybe a little more.
I signed up for Jaaxy Enterprise after paying $80/mo for a keyword tool that couldn’t even find affiliate marketing in its own database. That was crazy to me. It looked so fancy and did so many things except what I needed it to do. I am so glad I found Jaaxy. I tried a few other tools that didn’t do the job. I agree with your recommendation completely. Too bad I didn’t see this before I wasted all that money on the other tool.

You’ve heard of a site called Fiverr.com haven’t you?  People offer their services or products for $5.  There’s tons of things to choose from here, SEO backlinking, video creation, testimonials, etc…  These people are happy to do something for you for $5.  But you know what, not everyone in the world knows about fiverr.  In fact, outside of the internet marketing community I’d say that fiverr is relatively unknown.
A very well written book with some great tips and information on the online money making industry. It gave me plenty of insight and more ideas on how to market my online business and get the word out there. A great book for anyone wanting to get into the online money making world or who just want to brush up their knowledge of marketing and what options are out there!
