Marla, since my ex-husband abandoned us a few years ago, I worked 80+ hours a week to get myself established and set up. Now, that I have things established well, I work about 40-50 hours a week. For the most part, just when the kids are at school or sleeping. Blogging for me, is a full time job. It’s hard NOT TO work it that much, because it’s a passion that I absolutely LOVE. When you’re so passionate about something, it’s not really “work.” 🙂
I totally agree with you about Amazon. It should be used as a supplement not primary! I didn’t realize that four weeks ago when I launched my first Amazon focused niche site reviewing electric shavers. I only made 2 commissions so far and the total wasn’t even enough to cove domain registration lol. Now I’m looking at eBay and other affiliate programs to boost sales on that site.
So many people dream of writing a book, but never go through with it. Yet no matter what, I’m sure you have experience and value you could give through writing a book. By packaging your skills and knowledge into a downloadable eBook that helps people learn a skill, advance their careers, or start a businesses, you can change someone’s life and even make good money online.

Another way to utilize your talent and business skills is to run corporate workshops online. Businesses are always looking for unique ways to help educate their workforce, and if you can package your talents into a day or half-day long session, you can sell that to companies all over the world to make money online. Start by building a portfolio and then reaching out on LinkedIn to influencers at relevant companies to see if they would be interested in you teaching their team.

For some people, work just has to be in an office, factory, store, or any other environment that’s separate from home. Even a second job would have to be in a separate place. For others, a home office is a welcome place for a secondary or even a primary job. If you’re one of those people, you have some unique opportunities, but you also have some very particular challenges of working from home.

Usability testers are asked to perform tests based on their demographic profile (education, knowledge of the web, age, social media use, etc.). They are then given questions to address and/or tasks to perform, such as registering on a website and then providing feedback online. Reviews usually take about 15-20 minutes and earn typically about $10 each. After completing a review, testers are not paid until the client accepts their feedback. Work can be rejected and unpaid for technical problems, lack of detail, or other issues the client determines.
From the above screenshot of the results for “polka dot twin bedsheets for a girl” I would try to combine the 3 red underlined keywords into one post to try rank for them all. So I would write a post with a title similar to this” Cute Polka Dot Twin Sheets -Bedding & Comforter Sets”. This title captures the entire word “polka dot twin sheets (Most traffic and least competition) and I also added the other words from the other 2 keywords. This way I’m ranking for all 3  keywords and giving me the chance of getting 216 avg traffic per month. Plus a heap more if I write related content in the post. As the competition is low on all 3, I would feel very comfortable of ranking on page 1 or atleast page 2 of Google the next day. This keyword is VERY targeted. I know the view want Polka Dots on a Twin size bed sheet. My job is to deliver them what they want and I make easy money.
Outsourcing is the new and dominant wave of the business world. As businesses shed employees, they increasingly turn to independent contractors to supply what in-house staff used to do. One of the ways they do this is through virtual assistants. These are people who provide certain tasks online. Businesses can use virtual assistants as much or as little as they need to. If you can make yourself available to multiple businesses, you might have plenty of work without ever leaving your house.

Many people fancy themselves as designers. If you have a unique idea for a new product then it may be time to get it designed. This can be a long process involving prototypes, discussions with factories, package design, and much more. However, the profits once the product is on the market could be substantial. And remember, with Amazon FBA, your products can all be stored and shipped by Amazon, giving you time to think up your next invention. Sorry for being rude but before you jump in something make sure you get your facts right. I am not a guru by any means, infact I am just 4 months old as far as my blogging background is concerned, but I am glad i didn’t start a make money online blog. That’s another thing i managed to avoid this by accident 😛 I started with an educational blog by accident as I didn’t know about monetization, niches and stuff at that time. Although the CPC sucks big time courtesy Indian traffic but considering the low competition and number of searches it evens out 😛 Anyways I am just sharing my experience which might be useful to some guys who are yet to embark their blogging journey.
Golden Voice English (GVE) is a Canadian company based in Toronto, offering online tutoring sessions in English to native Chinese speakers. Most of the students are children from grades one through nine living in China, and the tutors are part time remote workers residing in North America. Research individual companies in your desired niche: If possible, it’s always better to become an affiliate directly with a company (if they have an internal affiliate program), as no one else will be dipping into your commission rate. This is the preferred route for most of the prominent affiliate marketers, including Pat Flynn. Unfortunately, it’s also the most work, as you’ll have to do the research yourself to see who offers programs (they’re usually listed in the website footer).
You can also market your ebook on your own website or blog, particularly if the site gets good traffic. Still another method is affiliate marketing. You can offer to pay sites related to your ebook a percentage of the sale price – say, anywhere between 20% and 50% – for them to post an ad or linked article for your book on their site. This could enable you to market your ebook on multiple platforms for greater market exposure.
You are not bothering me. Please don’t think that! 🙂 Yes, I’d encourage you to go on my Amazon page (after you start your blog) and purchase whatever book pertains to you and what you want to learn. I have them each by topic, so you only have to read what you want and not what you don’t! The book that I would suggest most is, How To Turn Your Blog Into a Six-Figure Money Making Machine. You can pre-order it here on Amazon. This book will take you step-by-step through everything so you stay on course, doing the things you need to do, and not doing those things that are a waste of time!
When was the last time you went to a new restaurant without looking it up online beforehand? Or bought a product that didn’t have at least a few 5-star reviews? It seems like more and more our world is run on reviews. And you can make money online by writing them. Get started by creating accounts on sites like Vindale research, Software Judge, FameBit, CrowdTap, Influence Central, and Modern Mom. However, before you run off and start writing, be sure to check the small print on each of these sites. Writing reviews isn’t a huge source of guaranteed income and you want to make sure that it’s worth your time before you get going.
I also am using Tumblr with my own custom domain since Tumblr allows for using custom domains free of charge. I am not familiar with SEO at all, with the exception of what it actually is. But other than that, I don’t understand how I would go about adjusting my site so that it is more successful in terms of SEO. I downloaded the plug-in you suggested, but have no idea how I even go about installing it or whatnot on my site. Do you have a tutorial for this?
It can take time to build up your personal freelance business. Yet, there is more demand than ever for freelancers. So, if you want to kick start making money online through freelancing you can join one of the top freelance networks, such as UpWork, Fiverr, Guru, Freelancer.com, or PeoplePerHour. Sign up, build your profile, upload some samples of your work and start making extra money by doing small freelance jobs.
You said that Amazon isn’t a good start for beginners, but what do you think of Azon Authority, hence in gives 90 days for the consumer, and if they pay within the 90 days, you will get your comission. And they have other things that stand a out. My question is, is this a scam-thing, because it is just too good to be true, I think. Well thank you for your time,
I think Drop shipping is the best way that can help you make money online. It is the only way that allows you to start an online business without investing capital in inventory, warehouse and to buy products individually from a wholesaler and ship them directly to your customer. Moreover, with my drop shipping experience, you will learn key strategies that you won’t learn anywhere else to help your online business grow and thrive.
Normally you’ll be asked to test a few websites by visiting them and to document and record your reactions and thoughts as you go through it. It’s really easy to get set up making extra money online by testing websites. All you need to do is sign up to the following services: UserTesting.com, Userlytics, TryMyUI, Userfeel, TestingTime (UK only), or Side Income Jobs.
I recently bought a domain for the keyword Home Workout Equipment: homeworkoutequipment.org without ding my research, so after publishing the content and making the site nice found out that the site was previously banned by Google and it was business which was doing well in Texas. Spoke to the person and he said they gave it up as the site got banned and before it made thousands in affiliate and ad sales.
Travel blogging is a hard industry to break into. However, the rewards can be worth it, and let’s face it, who doesn’t want to be paid for traveling around the world! There are numerous ways to monetize a travel blog, but affiliate marketing should predominantly be your focus. On your blog, promote hotels, tours, equipment hire services, flights, and anything else travel related. Then take a cut of the proceeds as your audience books their holidays based on your recommendations.
They always have charged a fee. They are not a company hiring people to work at home, their site is a job board that posts hundreds of work at home/flexible jobs every day that you can browse, and it’s not free to access. They work with a ton of legit employers to find candidates, and the reason they charge a subscription fee is because they do not use advertisements on their site for making money like many other websites.

Another common one? It's called the Secret Shopper scam. You get a letter or see an ad or e-mail saying you can be a secret shopper, shopping different stores, acquiring different products for a company. Sounds simple right? It's starts out that you receive a check in the mail from the company you're supposedly doing services for, and "working for."
While getting traffic to a website is what our business is all about, getting non buyers don’t help us to pay the bills. These types of keywords can work but have a lower conversion rate from my experience. I believe they are better suited to information websites with AdSense being the method of making money.  This is because the keyword is usually not targeted enough and may not be offering the viewer exactly what they want.
If you love to travel and find yourself randomly searching for airfare sales or browsing Lonely Planet, why not carve out a niche for yourself as a private travel agent? My friend, Mark Jackson did just that, making extra money online with his travel consulting side business. Start with word of mouth recommendations from friends who know they can count on you for the cheapest flights, and then move on and create a Facebook or LinkedIn group to invite people who want to stay on top of the latest deals. Eventually you could spin this into a full-time consultancy teaching people how to make their dream trip a reality.
Being a freelance writer isn’t always glamorous. Landing your first gig is not easy, as clients prefer hiring writers with a great work review. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make a living by offering writing services online. Start small and build up your client portfolio. Look for some entry-level sites that will pay you to write while honing your skills.

Double check yourself, before you double wreck yourself. Make sure everything you send to a company, whether a résumé, an email or a portfolio, is good to go. Double check your grammar and wording, and for God’s sake use spell check! This is especially important when it comes to the company’s name. Don’t spell their name wrong and be sure to type it how they type it (e.g. Problogger, not Pro Blogger).
SwagBucks PayPal gift card redemption is definitely not instant. Their website says it can take up to 10 business days. I have cashed in several PayPal gift cards with them and it could take anywhere from 24 hours to the full 10 days to receive them. About 5 business days seems to be most common. Don’t get me wrong…I love earning with SwagBucks. But Paypal payment is definitely not instant.
If you have just a few minutes, you could spend it filling out online surveys. There are multiple sites that will pay you to do so and it’s very easy. All you have to do is register, and start filling answering questions. Typically these are online market research surveys for big brands. Some companies even pay you just for installing an app or playing a game!
I always knew that keyword research was important but after seeing those Google Page percentages I see why you want to have your website on the first page of google. 91% of traffic for a given keyword that is mind-boggling, to say the least. I always had a certain way of doing my research but you have given me some other tips to follow. Most marketers don’t want to admit it but keyword research is something nobody can really master but there are great ways to find them and your way is straightforward and easy to follow.
It is far better to create 20 small websites with decent traffic than one large website with great traffic. Yes, you can focus on building the large site but don’t try it in the first go. In the first go, grab the low hanging fruit and create as many low hanging fruits as you can. That will bring a diversified income and it will create a sustainable business. When you have 10 different income sources from different sites, then go ahead and pour your energy in building the large site.

My next self-funded business hit $160,000 in revenue in its first year alone. After that first taste of self-made success, I’ve gone on to sign consulting contracts worth tens of thousands of dollars with startups like LinkedIn and Google, launch profitable online courses, and build a following of hundreds of thousands for this blog and my podcast series.
Job Boards. When you’re first starting out, you’ll have to go looking for work, and the best place to do that is on one of the online job boards. Places like Guru, Elance, Freelancer, and oDesk are today’s writers’ best friends. They allow individuals and businesses to post projects, and freelancers to bid on them. Take a look around the sites, sign up for the free access in the beginning, and then begin to place bids on the projects that interest you. It will take some trial and error to find your groove, but once you do, the jobs will start to roll in.

Yes, companies will pay you to install apps (or place ads) on your cell phone and leave them there. These apps often run in the background and track your spending/purchasing habits but if you’re not one to really care who knows what groceries you’re buying that week then this is seriously the easiest way to make upwards of $300 per year for no reason.
High-ticket consulting or coaching: You could sell your own high-ticket consulting or coaching products from your website. You'll still need a website, merchant account, sales funnel, lead magnet and many other items. But you can easily earn a substantial amount of money from each individual customer, making it well worth the arduous setup required.

Most of these entries are great, but I’d take BKA down. They have notoriously difficult editors who won’t lift a finger to help, and the pay is around $00.01 per word. The project requests are often difficult to understand and the writer is penalized for asking too many questions or not getting the gist of a poorly-worded request right away. For the amount of confusion, time and multiple-rejection frustration that BKA creates, I’d steer people away from this shady content mill, particularly if they are just starting in the WAH industry.

1. Stay Committed – I’ve seen people succeed and I’ve seen people fail and the one thing I can truly vouch for is that the people who succeed are, at the core, only different in two ways. They’re brave enough to start and they don’t give up. It doesn’t matter your level of expertise, design background or coding ability. Your unique perspective on whatever it is you’re trying to build is what’s valuable and the rest figures itself out. The people who have discovered success in niche marketing are the ones who have taken a chance and committed to learning as they go.
Every year, hundreds of millions of documents are notarized in the United States: wills, mortgages, citizenship forms, handgun applications. While for decades, this has all been done in person, there is a budding crop of sites that allow notaries to take their services online. If you’re already a notary, you can sell your services online. Or, if you want to get started, check out the National Notary’s checklist for becoming a certified notary.
Survey Junkie is among the most straightforward survey sites out there, which puts them at the top of this list. All you have to do is sign up to be eligible for surveys. Once you complete a survey you earn a certain amount of points that you can exchange for cash paid directly to a PayPal account or you can redeem your points for gift cards. Super simple.
#17 – 1-800-Flowers – This company is based in New York. They are a flower company and they usually hire Call Center Agents on a permanent, seasonal and temporary basis. You need a landline telephone, internet access and a computer in order to work for them. It is important to note that they hire from specific states only. You need to have previous call center work experience and be over 18 to work for them. Your communication and writing skills should also be good. You can check out their website for further information.
The peer-to-peer concept is coming to virtually every corner of human existence. That includes the hospitality industry. Through AirBnB you can actually rent out your house for various lengths of time for a predetermined fee. That gives you an extra income on your house and gives the visitor the benefit of having an entire house, rather than being crammed into a single hotel room.
Build something you care about. It’s so much easier to work hard on it and put the extra effort in when you genuinely enjoy the site. If you don’t care about the topic at hand you’ll only put so much energy in it and not go the extra mile to make everything you do really special. Obviously that’s the starting point and there’s a lot more to it than that. You have to make sure you pick something you’re passionate about AND is profitable otherwise it’s doomed from the start no matter how much effort you put into it. And then there’s traffic, content and building your email list aspect. Your content can’t just be good. It has to be some of the best in the niche. Bigger, better, more beautiful, above and beyond and packed full of data, stats, examples and backed up points. Links and quotes to experts and so on. You have to get your message in front of the right audience. It’s about knowing WHO your target audience is and WHERE they hang out online (blogs, social media groups, forums) and leveraging those sources, lots of ideas here.
Start by taking other courses you’re interested in: Not only is this important competitor and opportunity analysis, but it also gives you an idea of how a course could or should look and feel. What’s the pacing like? Is it via email, video, in-person chats? Once you understand how you want your course to look, it’s time to decide what it should include. Those same courses are a great starting place. How can you make your course better or more interesting? Do you have experience others don’t?
Sponsored posts work much in the same way as paid guest posts, but they are posted by big businesses instead of individual bloggers. Therefore, the scope for fees is much higher, as businesses have larger marketing budgets than humble bloggers. Having sponsored posts by large companies will also help promote your site as reputable and as a leader in its field.
If you’ve got a way with words and expertise in a niche, there are plenty of sites that will pay for articles and content you write. Think of the sites you read regularly. What can you contribute to them that would be interesting? Research your niche and then look for ways to pitch articles. Many sites will simply have a submission or contact link in the footer. To get started, check out my full guide to becoming a freelance writer on the side and then submit your articles to places like Listverse, TopTenz, A List Apart, International Living, FundsforWriters, and Textbroker.
Starting a blog allows you the opportunity to contribute small pieces of content gradually, and with enough content and effective marketing, you can grow an audience. Once you have an audience, there are a number of ways to monetize the traffic, such as Google AdSense, affiliate links, a blog store, selling ad space on the blog, or curating your content into an e-book to sell, among others.

If you are really short on cash and need some immediate funds then you should start by looking around your house. Clear out your cupboards and find any items lying around that you don’t need or haven’t used for a while. Then sell them on eBay. Just because they are gathering dust in your cupboards, doesn’t mean someone else won’t snap them up. Simply sign up with eBay, list your products and then, as they are sold, send them off to the buyers.
I do surveys with Pinecone, and yes they do have points now for the surveys, but you can still use the points for cash. Each survey gives 300 points and 300 points is equal to $3.00 if you use the cash option. The cash option is under the “featured” part of the rewards page. I never had to change anything and when request the cash from points, it’s still sent to my paypal which is how I had it set up before, even though it goes through confirming your address. I haven’t looked much through other rewards offered, but from what I’ve seen they look pretty decent.

WOW Sean! I am thinking of creating a blog in the “men’s shaving” niche. It’s something that I’m pretty passionate about and I know there are tons of products that I could review and tons of small tips I could share. This post had so much great information and I feel I learned more from your blog than from any information product I could have paid for about the subject. I can see you are very knowledgeable about the subject and very passionate as well. I’m thinking my two main forms of monetization for the blog will be Amazon and Adsense. Do you have any advice on what theme I should use or any plugins out there that might make it easier for me?

Shopify is another great option if you are wanting to create your own eCommerce store. Shopify is arguably easier to set up than WooCommerce but will give you less control over your storefront and cost you more long term. However, if you have little to no experience of creating websites or using WordPress, or you are working to a very tight time schedule, then Shopify may be the perfect eCommerce platform for you.
My top tip is: Pick a niche topic that you are interested in and passionate about. When building out and growing a niche site, you spend a great deal of time researching keywords, creating content, and watching for trends. If you aren’t passionate about the topic, your interest in spending time with the site tapers off pretty quick, as does your income. However, the opposite is also true. When you’re very interested and passionate about the topic, you love spending time working on the site, and it grows, as does your revenue.

More and more companies and startups especially are embracing remote work—where you use online collaboration and communication tools to do your work from wherever you want. And you don’t have to be a 20-something hotshot designer or coder to reap the benefits of working remotely. Many remote positions are for customer support positions or other customer-facing positions that don’t require specialized skill sets.

Amazon offers a service called Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), which can be extremely useful for arbitrage sellers, or others selling their own products. If you opt for FBA, Amazon will store, pick, pack and deliver your products. That means you can scale your arbitrage business quickly as you don’t have to store products in your own home or waste time with postage.
E-books represent about 20 percent of all book sales in the U.S. The good news is you don’t have to be a publisher with deep pockets to get in on the action. As a solo internet entrepreneur, you can sell ebooks directly from your own website. You can sell your own works or sell a public domain work. Simply upload it to your website (or seller account on Amazon) and start publicizing it on your social media platforms, on your email list, your blog, website, etc.
There are many ways to get people onto your list. Lead magnets are one such resource. For example, you can build ebooks, checklists and cheat sheets. But you can also do content upgrades, such as PDF versions of an article with added resources in them, four-part video training series, and more. Think about your audience and what you can offer them to better serve them, then treat them with some respect and you'll eventually reap the rewards.

ZZZProfits.com stands out to me as a bit of an outlier here because it’s the only root domain ranking on page 1, and has the least amount of content overall.  However, it’s a PR4 site and has a ton of backlinks.  The site seems like your typical internet marketing blog with a nice, clean design, however there are some red flags (the most “popular” post on the site only has 17 comments).
Just click the link and get started now with $400+ profits a day or more legitimately. 5 years down the road if you pass this opportunity up, you'll be left wondering what life would have been like if you had just given this a shot. I started out with only 16 dollars to my name left in my account after I lost everything to my wife, even my kids. I found this program after months of searching for something real, and it changed my life. Give it a shot, you have nothing to lose, and the world to gain. We'll see you on the other side.
However, its more common to think of a niche site as one that targets a more narrow niche than just Sports in general.  A smaller niche in sports would be perhaps, Little League baseball, or Curling in Canada, or Speed skating.  However, just because your niche site only covers curling in Canada, doesn’t mean it can’t be thousands of pages of content.  Make sense?
Hi Sean…love the article. I have been trying to come up with a good strategy for coming up with a solid niche that I can be successful with and your article has helped me tremendously. I have combined your advice with the advice from another article and I think I have about 3 ideas that I will try to narrow down to 1. Do you have a timeline of how many articles you get up with a new site and the money that you will make on average per month for the first 6 months?
There is another way to start the business, that is, drop-shipping. Drop-shipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn't keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the merchant never see or handle the product.
If you have your own eCommerce store, social media is the perfect platform to showcase your products. Demonstrate your products in use and tell your social following why they need to buy your merchandise. Most social media channels allow you to add ‘buy’ buttons your pages, allowing your followers to easily click through to your site and make a purchase.

Choose your niche and check for demand: The golden course combination is when you can find an in-demand niche that aligns with your skills and unique experiences. A great way to do this is to use Google Trends and Google’s Keyword Planner to look for average monthly search volume for keywords related to your proposed course content. Are people actively looking for high-quality information about this subject? Of course, if you’re already creating content for a blog, coaching service, or a site like Medium, you can test demand this way for free just like Bryan did.

This California mom who started selling handmade headbands and socks on Etsy “hoping to make a couple extra bucks” now clears more than $70,000 a month. These results are not common, but I like this story because she went at it just hoping to make a little money and then took the opportunity further. The moral of the story: Start small, get started. Here’s a beginner’s guide to making money on Etsy to get you on the right track.
My 10-year-old son brought home a book from our park’s free library box. It was a biology textbook – teachers edition. He said it looked interesting and hey, it was free (having no idea you could sell it). I scanned it in my Amazon seller app and realized it was worth around $150. He was so excited. We listed it for sale for $130 and it sold! Going to tell him, he just made $130!

I have really enjoyed reading about how to build a niche site. I have tried and failed so many times. At the moment i am changing my website because i have tried to be a jack of all trades and obviously that doesn’t work. So my website is going to be taken offline and changed and now i have a better understanding from what you have just wrote i can do a much better Job. I also tried to do a lot of work with Amazon personally but i understand why you say not to.
Advertising. You won’t have any quests until you get the word around about your room. Start locally by putting a sign in your front yard and spreading the word through friends and family. Next, build a small website and make sure that you attract the search engine spiders by using the keywords people would likely search for when looking for a place to stay in your area. In addition, there are sites that specialize in promoting specific areas and their attractions, such as BedandBreakfast.com and Airbnb – your Bed and Breakfast should be listed there.

Fiverr is one of the biggest providers in the gig economy on the web and you can sell a wide variety of services and products through this medium. Do the research and find out what you can offer. However, keep in mind that like any other money-making task, it takes time to succeed here. And stellar reviews will help you generate more and more income over time.
Wish you had (and you may already I just am overwhelmed with all the info out here lol) a blogging coaching course to follow with support. I get overwhelmed with reading all that is out here and just wish there was something step by step and someone who could hold my hand to get me through the things that I get overwhelmed by!! (mostly technology related!!)
SiteStaff – This company occasionally hires remote chat hosts. Their website says nothing about needing prior experience. I don't think they always have openings, and it's an independent contractor position. When you're on their site, a chat box will appear asking if you have questions. Don't use this box to ask about employment because you will get a canned response explaining they don't answer questions about jobs on their live chat.

Your Price. When establishing a price for your classes, start by calling around and finding out what other choices your clients have. If you plan to offer cooking classes, call some commercial establishments and other in-home teachers. Compare your own talent and experience to what they’re offering, and set a price accordingly. You should always come in a little lower than classes offered by commercial establishments as that will be one of your selling points: expert information for less money.
Find a profitable niche. Starting with your interests, write down as many niche ideas as you can. Think about topics people might search online. Ideas include passions (like surfing or body building), fears (like spiders or speaking in front of crowds) and problems (like getting out of debt). Do keyword research to see it others are interested in the topic. Find out if a domain name is available that matches the keyword 100 percent. [7]
One of the cool things about Google AdSense is that it's so easy to get set up. If you have a blog or website, you can sign up for a free Google AdSense Account. From there, Google will give you a unique code that you will paste onto your website. Google takes it from there, tracking your page views, traffic, and earnings on your behalf. There is no upkeep or maintenance to get this thing going, which makes it a no-brainer if you have a website already.
Sean, your presentation is very comprehensive, especially for those who are looking to make extra income on the web. Your step-by-step tutorial is actually good as a “product development” stage of the overall business development, suitable for (aspiring) entrepreneurs looking to build a serious business online. If the niche site works we can grow it up for selling our own products or services.
That is the time I realized how important it is not to bank on only one website for your revenue and income. Yes, you can make decent amount of money from blogs but depending on only one source can be very, very risky. It doesn’t matter how authority your website is since Google and other search engines don’t really care whether you are a big site or whether you are a small one. They will simply update their algorithms and if the axe falls on you, you are done.

These results are not common, but I like this story because she went at it just hoping to make a little money and then took the opportunity further. The moral of the story: Start small, get started. Here’s a beginner’s guide to making money on Etsy to get you on the right track.
