You could also opt to use existing websites for making money. These include both active income and passive income methods. For example, you could sell some used items or invest in creating some digital designs that then can be sold on merchandise. Again, devote a sizable portion of your time to passive income so that you can slowly build up earnings that will arrive on autopilot without any extra added effort.
I’m so sick of people spouting this EMD bullshit. I have a bunch of sites, all of which are fairly new and using EMDs. They didn’t get whacked and are making me a regular income via Amazon. Just because you didn’t have success a bunch of asshat spammers on webmaster forums failed with them doesn’t mean that they don’t work. I’m not saying that they give you a boost or anything; simply that they don’t get you slapped.
Thanks for the great post. I have some questions related to the programs like Google Keyword Tool and Market Samurai. When I try to register for the Google Keyword tool it asks for my website. However, I haven’t created a website yet. I just wanted to check how it works. Do I have to create a website before using these programs or can I just practice and check some statistics before getting serious?
At Crowdsource, you get to use and grow your skills and grow your income as well. This is through completing small and big tasks. There is great flexibility in terms of how and where you work as well.  For every project that is assigned to you, you get paid as soon as you complete it. You get support as well through training and testing before starting out and handling assignments. If your performance is great, you have opportunities to work on more projects and earn more money. Crowdsource is a great source of income for you if you are a great performer.
– Project Payday is one of those sites that has testimonials of people who have earned thousands of dollars by getting paid to get trial offers. I’m not saying you’ll earn thousands, but it is legit and you can earn some extra cash. They assume that by paying you to do a free trial, you’ll either like the product and purchase it, or forget to cancel the trial and get charged for it. If you can keep track and cancel before you get charged (if you don’t want the product), then this is a great site for making some money.
My name is Jamie Spencer and I have spent the past 5 years building money making blogs. After growing tired of the 9-5, commuting and never seeing my family I decided that I wanted to make some changes and launched my first blog. Since then I have launched lots of successful niche blogs and after selling my survivalist blog I decided to teach other people how to do the same.
There is another way to start the business, that is, drop-shipping. Drop-shipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn't keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the merchant never see or handle the product.
Why not start a blog or web site about your experience with "Agoraphobia". You can review your medications and things that have helped you deal with your illness. Keep a log, post Q&s and monetize with Google Adsense. People will find you and you may even help a lot of people along the way. Plus I have to imagine the payout per click for an Agoraphobia keyword has to be around a dollar or so.
A site called User Testing will actually pay you a fee to evaluate websites. It typically pays you $10 for each video that you review – which typically takes about 20 minutes. If the work is there, and you are particularly good at it, you could earn up to $30 per hour. That’s a pretty solid pay rate for a work-at-home job. You wouldn’t have to work a whole lot of hours to generate a decent part-time monthly income.
Another popular and effective method to earning money from your website is to ad affiliate marketing links to your website. If someone purchases the product or service from the affiliate marketing link on your site you will receive a commission for the sale. This can be a great way to make big money especially if you are driving a lot of traffic to your site.
Normally you’ll be asked to test a few websites by visiting them and to document and record your reactions and thoughts as you go through it. It’s really easy to get set up making extra money online by testing websites. All you need to do is sign up to the following services: UserTesting.com, Userlytics, TryMyUI, Userfeel, TestingTime (UK only), or Side Income Jobs.
Cash 4 Books is an online business where you can sell new and used books. Grab your books and head to the website; here you’ll be able to enter each book’s ISBN, which is a 10 or 13 digit number that can be found on the back cover or inside the front cover of almost all books. Once you have entered each code, you’ll receive a quote for each book. Next, send your books in with a pre-paid shipping label. Once they receive your books, you’ll be paid either via check or PayPal.
Theme and Content Get a proper theme, I recommend MyThemeShop and add some content on it. Don’t just add all the articles at once. Update the site once a week or twice. You can have a minimum of 10 articles to get your site ranked and stay at the top for a longer duration. If you feel that the site is performing well, you can add articles at regular intervals to keep it up.

Equipment. The largest, and most important, piece of equipment that you’ll need is a high-quality sewing machine. They can range in price from about $2,000 up to $6,000, and you’ll want the best one that you can afford. Other pieces of equipment will vary, depending on what you want to specialize in. For instance, if you intend to make custom draperies, you’ll need a serger, and a drapery steamer.
thredUP is a way you can sell your old clothing, shoes, and handbags online. Simply sign up for or a clean out pack online. Once you receive your clean-up-pack, fill it full of clothing, and send it back to thredUp with the pre-paid label and packing slip. Upon receiving your package, thredUp will appraise your clothing and issue a credit which can be withdrawn via PayPal or store credit. Any unsold clothing will be donated with a donation receipt will be issued.
Online savings accounts usually come with crazy good interest rates to help you grow your money faster (regular in-person banks can’t offer rates as high). We’re fans of CIT Bank and Discover Bank (among others) because their interest rates are often over 25 times the national average. That means the money in your savings account will grow 25 times faster than the pace it’s most likely growing at now. Really, though, you can’t go wrong with pretty much any online savings account that offers over 1.50% APY 🙂
Without a doubt, adding the words reviews to your key word can also be a great method of making money. However, me personally I normally avoid targeting keywords which rely solely on the review part. This is because so many other marketers target the ‘product review’ keyword. Competition is something I don’t like when it comes to making my money online. The less people I have to compete with in the search engines the better, so while I might add the word reviews in my content and sometimes in the titles. I generally don’t even go after review type keywords.
Mechanical Turk is Amazon's take on micro-jobs. These are small miniscule-jobs that you can do for other people, which they call HITs, or Human Intelligence Tasks. These are super simple tasks that anyone can do. Some examples are listing off some URLs with certain kinds of images for one cent, or recording a few phrases with a microphone for 6 cents.
The key is to make the class sound unique and irresistible. Don’t just teach a cooking class; come up with specialty cooking classes. You might teach a class on how to make artesian breads, or cinnamon rolls that rival Cinnabon. The possibilities are endless, and if you consistently offer educational and fun classes, you’ll have people signing up over and over again.
Always remember to personally connect with neighbors, friends, and family and let them know about your services. You can also check out third-party platforms like Care.com, SitterCity, and Task Rabbit where they connect caretakers with caregivers. If you are connected with a job on one of these platforms they'll take a small percentage of the total transaction fee. In fact, the on-demand economy has made it easier than ever to make money on demand — to find out more check out this post.
Blogging is something that requires patience, persistence and discipline. It may mean writing everyday for over a year before you really start to see any money from it. There are exceptions to the rule, but from my dealings with other bloggers, it seems to be pretty common to spend one or even two years building your blog, your brand and your authority, before making any serious amount of money.
Enwil, my first site is about a “niche” medical condition. People visit the site for the large amount of original information I have on there, but I can add no significant useful information on there anymore:-( Improving the look of the site, adding videos, graphs, diagrams etc… will not increase the traffic in any significant manner. Less than 1 percent of people have this condition.
Do you constantly come up with witty one-liners? Do you dream of the days of Mad Men-style advertising? If you’ve got some branding chops or just come up with imaginative copy, there are lots of opportunities to make money online through company naming and slogan contests. If you think you have a knack for names check out namingforce.com and squadhelp.com. If you dream of coming up with witty copy, try coming up with company slogans on Slogan Slingers and Get a Slogan.
As an internet entrepreneur, you'll need your own web presence:website, blog, social media platforms, landing pages, sales pages, banner ads, or e-commerce site. But instead of selling your own products, you sell the products of other companies. You can use several of these combinations, if you like, as long as you get your marketing message to the public.
Before I talk about some of the methods for making money online, I wanted to address the role of pain versus pleasure. Every decision that we make in life is weighed on a pain-versus-pleasure scale. We will always do more to avoid pain than we will to gain pleasure, plain and simple. However, this is also what holds us back from succeeding in any endeavor.
If you aren't a writer (or hate writing), then the option that I recommend for people is to outsource this step and hire a ghostwriter.  There's plenty of writers (and companies that I use) that can write your Kindle book for you on ANY topic you want for as low as $55-75 for a 5000 word book.  This costs money and it's an option that is available for you.  They will typically deliver the book within 7-14 days.

Whether you have a website or are still dreaming up ideas for a blog, you can also look into affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing, you partner with brands and businesses within the content of your website. If you mention a product or service, you link to that produce or service using a unique affiliate code you received when you signed up for that particular affiliate program. From there, you’ll make money any time someone buys a product or service through your link.
Just don’t expect it to happen overnight, for it might take you some time. If you’re one of those people who want that “get rich overnight thing”, then you surely won’t find it. If they do “exist”, those programs normally take money upfront from you right from the very start – often just hype and not credible at all. You don’t want to get yourself involved in them.
2. You Only Have To Be a Fraction Better – Whatever niche you’re trying to get into just remember that the first site that gets the eyeballs also gets the biggest pay day. If you can be only marginally better than your competition then you’re the one who will reap the biggest rewards. If you remember that it makes your goals that much more attainable because niche websites usually have a lot of room for improvement.
“An email list is critical because you can’t build your content on rented land. So many brands and companies build their audiences on Facebook and Google+, which is fine, but we don’t own those names – Facebook and Google do. If we are thinking like real media companies, the asset is in the audience. Getting an email address is the first critical step to figuring out who my reader is, and hopefully in the future, my customer of some sort. If our goal is to drive sales or keep customers happy in some way, we first need to get them as part of our audience.
Just curious, how much time would you say it would take the average person who has a decent understanding of how to do much of what you covered to get through all of these steps? Just a rough estimate. And how long, again, on average, after doing all of this would it take before that person starts seeing $500/month in a medium competitive niche – one that you would consider being pretty ideal?

Bookscouter will give you Amazon.com's trade in value, where you mail Amazon the book and get a gift card, they will not give you the used selling price because it's hard to compare apples to oranges. You may be able to get more for your book by selling it as a used book on Amazon, so be sure to double check that price. As an example, the trade in value of a book I looked up was $7.87 but used copies were on sale for $19.87.
Scribbr is a Netherlands based academic editing and proofreading company with an international scope, offering their services in up to 10 different languages. InstaGC is a rewards site you can use to redeem instantly for Amazon gift codes (and all kinds of other gift codes). With this site, it's possible to earn money for doing all sorts of things which include short tasks, surveys, watching videos, listening to music, and more. What I love most about this one is that when you do redeem, there is NO waiting. You just ask for your code and it's there waiting for you on the next screen. It's also possible to request a check for a cash payment, but you will have to wait several days for that to show up in the mail.

These mega-sites make it easy to set up shop so customers can browse your products, and there's no need to build your own website. Also, you’ll find a built-in search feature so that interested buyers can easily find your online storefront. Plus, you get to use the site's shopping cart. In short, you avoid a lot of the expense and hassle of setting up an independent e-commerce website.

Your article has been a great read, especially as someone who has just started seriously blogging. I had a few questions that I wanted to ask you. You write that bloggers should find a niche, and I wonder…how specific does that niche need to be? My blog is a “lifestyle” blog in that it covers fashion, decor, food, and travel. The goal of my blog is to show that people can lead interesting and sophisticated lives by creating luxury through simple comforts in all the related categories I cover. I am very passionate about this idea. There are many blogs like this out there, and I know ultimately it will be my content and voice that set me apart. However, do you think this style blog is unproductive in terms of monetary gains? Is this blog more hobby-geared and going to be impossible for me to ever make a career out of? There are a few very successful blogs like this out there that I know of (such as cupcakesandcashmere.com) that have had tremendous success, but it seems they racked up an audience of readers just through word of mouth (aka social media FB, Twitter, etc), rather than specific techniques like you have outlined. One blog, which is geared towards fashion is just photos of herself in different outfits and has no textual content at all, minus the brand/designers, so I wonder how her blog gained such a huge following?
Because the article links to over 140 websites, the page itself wouldn’t retain much link juice if it was spread out among all the linked pages.  I’ll confess I don’t know exactly how link juice is passed, but when I’m linking to so many pages, it was important to me that I put the rel=”nofollow” tag on the outbound links.  You do it easily with a free plugin like this one.
There are many ways to get people onto your list. Lead magnets are one such resource. For example, you can build ebooks, checklists and cheat sheets. But you can also do content upgrades, such as PDF versions of an article with added resources in them, four-part video training series, and more. Think about your audience and what you can offer them to better serve them, then treat them with some respect and you'll eventually reap the rewards.

Amazon Mechanical Turk is a service that lets you make money online through doing paid microtasks. Each task is something simple that requires human interaction like rating search results, checking for the right spelling on search terms, categorizing the tone of an article, or even basic translating. You can do these tasks from anywhere you want and make money online from the world’s largest e-retailer.

That’s a great idea, Chad, and I’ve been considering some form of that (creating a little giveaway eBook for a list specifically targeted at those who land on this page). I do like the idea of an e-mail course, as it might be easier to create in a short period of time. It’s going on my to-do list for this week, so hopefully I do it sooner than later…

Another strategy to make money online is to become a social marketing manager. Being present on social media is key for any business that wants to attract new customers, promote their products and grow their following. However, constantly posting, liking and commenting on the numerous social media channels is extremely time consuming. More and more businesses are recruiting social media managers to run and organize all their social media. And to save money, social media employees are often employed as online freelancers.

So if you do want to go the SEO route which the OP never mentioned in the question, then of course it will be difficult but if you go with methods working RIGHT NOW then competition is actually a pretty good thing as there is less testing to do as you can see what the competition is doing, make a similar campaign (notice I never said copy) and there you go.

One factor that you must be aware of though is that Care.com is a peer-to-peer arrangement. That means that you will be in direct competition with other pet sitters in your area. You must price your services competitively in order to get business. Once you begin to develop a list of regular clients, you will be in a better position to raise your rates. This will be particularly true as you get referrals from those customers.

Here’s the deal – in our chosen example of ‘how to kiteboard’, there were just over 96,000 websites that popped up in a simple Google search on the keyword. Plus – I hit the refresh button 10-times and the only two PPC ad’s for the same keyword were the only two ad’s that were shown on each attempt. Meaning, there is very little ‘paid for’ competition.
Re-selling web hosting will enable you to make money hosting your own client’s websites. Large hosting companies like HostGator allow you to white label their hosting services. You could start your own hosting business or, if you are a web designer, include hosting into your web design packages. And the best of it is the hosting companies take care of the hosting for you, so all you need to worry about is selling.
Conduent -Conduent is looking for Tier 1 Tech support advisors to provide troubleshooting for their customers. They’re keen to find people who are good at figuring out how technology works and multitasking across various programs. They’re interested in providing their customers a top-flight customer service experience, so they want troubleshooters who are also friendly and engaging with the self-discipline to remain professional while working from home. They do want their prospective advisors to have 6 months experience in customer service – but that experience can come from previously working via phone, chat, or in person. Pretty much all of us have that these days, especially if you’ve ever worked retail! Schedules are flexible, falling between 7 AM CST and 11 PM CST. This is a full-time work-at-home position with benefits.
Wow no need to look anywhere else for guidance. Couple of questions Spencer. Should one use your own name or aliases when creating a couple of niche sites? What happens when your site gets really popular (can only happen if you follow this great advice ), should you go for VPS hosting? Is Bluehost friendly towards multiple niche sites being hosted?

Using Fiverr is a great way to pick up work. Once you have signed up you can advertise your services. Fiver allows you to create your own gigs, whether you are offering web design, digital marketing, writing, or something else. You can choose how much you want to charge (it can be more than a fiver) and people will then contact you if they are interested in working with you. Fiverr will not only help you get experience if you are just starting off as a freelancer, it will also help you earn some extra cash.

MemberPress is a feature-rich plugin that will enable you to turn your WordPress blog into a fully functional membership site. Depending on how you want to run your membership site, you could have a mixture of free and premium membership plans. Premium plans could include no adverts, free downloads, access to extra content, membership forums, and much more. However, it is important to remember that if people are going to pay to view your content then it must be high quality. Otherwise your members won’t renew their subscriptions when the time comes.
A couple sites to look up your competition are Alexa.com and SimilarWeb.com. Both give you different data and have different features. They will tell you things like how much traffic a site gets, where it’s coming from, where the traffic is going, are the readers male/female, how popular is the site and so on. To get a semi-accurate traffic count (nothing is 100% accurate like that, but it gives you a good idea: on SimilarWeb, multiply the visits by the page views).
I have read this article and the ones linked backwards and forwards over the course of the last week. I had been stressing about bringing in extra income when I stumbled onto this post on Pinterest. I sat down and wrote out at LEAST 80 blog post ideas (enough to post three a week for a half a year before I run out of content.) I’ve checked out BlueHost in an effort to find out if the url I want was already in use or not. So I guess my question is, how do you start making money off of a blog? I mean, I have read your different articles on the matter and I’m still at a loss as to where to start without having foot traffic on my page in the beginning. Any advice would help so much. Thanks in advance!
Nice read…and the HARO idea is something I can use…but if a person has been at this for a while some of your ideas happen naturally from just using your brains…when I started I thought I didn’t have a creative bone in my body and I got so aggravated with the advice of…”Do what you are passionate about”…I wasn’t passionate about anything…making money was my passion…and as you know that is one of the toughest niches to get into…but I kept trying and I refused to give up…I started noticing what other so-called experts were doing and how they were doing it and I started developing my own strategies based off of different internet marketers (like your HARO idea I am gong to use…email lists and how marketers built them…thinking about what made me sign up for a list…also thinking abut would I really buy that and use that…also what type of problem was that marketer solving…like you right now are helping to solve a money problem people may have…your catch is….make $500.00 dollars… that gets INSTANT ATTENTION…finding stuff I could give away…finding coupons for stuff…the ideas and list is huge when you pay attention)…so that led me to analyze other marketers success…I found out about how to get my own software idea done…I found out who was who in IM and I subscribed to a bunch of lists with the intent of just seeing what other expert marketers were doing and before I knew it I learned what they were doing…I guess my passion turned out to be “learning”….I have taken so many ideas and formed them all into one or two I can’t even call them my own…I guess you can say I have put together a bunch of hybrid ideas from expert marketers and then using tools I needed to make it all work…if it’s one thing I have discovered about making money online it is there is no absolute one way of doing this… what works for you may not work for the next person and it’s simply putting together what works for you….I’m an expert at not being an expert….I guess you could say I am an expert copier of other marketers…read and study has been the way for me…and the thing about that is I never run out of ideas or ways to do things….I don’t overwhelm myself and try and do them all… I have taken about 4 strategies that I use that make money for me consistently…I am under the radar and that’s where I want to stay…I help my friends when they need money…I actually do it for them because I have it so structured it doesn’t take me very long and they are so lazy they don’t want to maintain the sites I build for them…I just have them pay the cost of the domain until they let it expire…anyway I guess my long rant here is because when I hear “do what you are passionate about” or “do whatever interest you” just makes me a little crazy….and I know you gave some examples of different ideas for niches but I am one of those people if you had given me that advice early on I would have wanted to jump out of a window…so I’m just letting you know that does not work for everyone and just because it doesn’t I’m letting some one else know that making money online does work it’s just a matter of how you want to approach it….

If you know how to design a website, or can muster the patience to learn the necessary HTML, Javascript and CSS, you can launch a website design business with no money. A number of sites offer free website hosting and domain/subdomain names, and you can build your own website to support the new business. A simple email to friends and business associates letting them know you now offer website design services starts the marketing ball rolling for free.

Whenever somebody clicks on an ad you will receive a small payment. This can be done through Google Adsense. Google Adsense is free to use advertising system run by Google that allows website owners to earn money by displaying a variety of ads on their websites. The great thing about Adsense is that you do not have to pick the ads that will be shown, as Google atomically finds targeted ads for your site, as well as accepted the payment, and sending you your portion of the earnings gained when visitors click the ads. A great advantage about Google Adsense is you get paid if the visitor clicks on the ad, they do not have to actually purchase the product.
If it’s the first thing, yes you are doing stuff that Google doesn’t like and if you’re doing the other, it’s not that they are penalizing you, it’s that they aren’t ranking you high because there is either not enough authority/content on the site and/or you’re not correctly using the keywords. Obviously aim for targeting different keywords with everything new you write, this will help you.
It won’t be easy. I have made around 10 niche sites and have failed in 8 of them. The success ratio is again 80 – 20. You will never know which niche sites will bring you revenue until you give it a try. My experience tells me that small niche sites which have affiliate products and paid services around them convert the best. Google Adsense also works good for small niche sites but since Adsense depends heavily on traffic and pageviews, you will have to keep updating the site to get fresh traffic. Affiliate sales depends on reputation, authority and other things so if you can build a niche site and sell Affiliate products, it should work out well compared to a niche site which earns money only through Google Adsense and other contextual ads.

Shopify is another great option if you are wanting to create your own eCommerce store. Shopify is arguably easier to set up than WooCommerce but will give you less control over your storefront and cost you more long term. However, if you have little to no experience of creating websites or using WordPress, or you are working to a very tight time schedule, then Shopify may be the perfect eCommerce platform for you.

Great video and written blog! I completely agree with everything you said. I think one of the main reasons (besides not listening to you) that people end up not making any money is that the real way to make money online is to create great products, services, content, reviews, etc that are actually useful to people. Most people have enough experience surfing online that they can see someone trying to game the system a mile away. Honestly, I’m glad the focus is getting away from that anyway. If we’re not here to help people, then why are we here?
Decluttr lets you sell everything from books to CDS to DVDs to electronics and even LEGO! It's my best recommendation for decluttering (hence the name!) by selling stuff you no longer want or need. With books, you just enter in the barcode or ISBN and they'll give you a value. It takes minutes to find out how much your stuff is worth and you don't have to register or anything to price things.
Website Testing Jobs: Get paid to test websites from home.User testing websites and other online companies pay you to test websites from home. You could be hired by several online service providers who want to check whether their platform is working perfectly or not. Your job is to test the page loading time and other performance metrics of the website and provide timely feedback.
Bing Rewards – One of the big search engines will pay you to search??? That's amazing! Bing Rewards is Bing's program that awards you points each time you search. The rate changes and right now it's 1 credit per 2 searches, up to 15 credits a day on a computer. You get 1 credit for 2 searches up to 10 credits on mobile. You can get an Amazon.com gift card for every 475 points.

You can also market your ebook on your own website or blog, particularly if the site gets good traffic. Still another method is affiliate marketing. You can offer to pay sites related to your ebook a percentage of the sale price – say, anywhere between 20% and 50% – for them to post an ad or linked article for your book on their site. This could enable you to market your ebook on multiple platforms for greater market exposure.

6. Pay more attention to paid traffic, especially Facebook advertising in 2015. This has been a big shift in my strategy. Google is unpredictable. And SEO traffic is not really free as people say. Paid traffic is different. You turn it on when you need it. Unless you stop paying, you consistently get traffic. The key is to get the math right with a good sales funnel.

CashCrate sends out literally thousands of payments a month to users just like you who spend time completing surveys and offers on CashCrate.com. How do they do it? Well, they do surveys and offers regularly. It really adds up! Your initial goal should be to meet minimum payout, which is $20.00. Making $20.00 in free cash is actually quite easy considering there are hundreds of surveys and offers available, but here are a few tips to get you to your goal faster:
The more content you produce and optimise, the more keywords you will rank for and the more visitors you will get. In order to rank well in the search engines you need to produce high quality, original content on a regular basis. We know the search engines are placing more and more emphasis on ranking high quality content. All of the algorithm updates like Panda and Penguin are efforts to ensure the best sites appear in the search results. So regardless of the industry you select, you need to make sure you are producing high quality content.
So, I put together a free master course for you to take that spreads out all of the work involved in starting a blog, into a series of action-packed lessons. My free course breaks the entire process of starting a blog down into an incredibly simple 7-day process for going from 0 to publishing (and promoting) your first blog post in just 1 week. I can't recommend it enough.

White labeling products involves purchasing pre-made products from a supplier and then adding your own labeling and branding. Products could range from candles to gym equipment or even tea, but all will come without labels, allowing you to create your own new range of merchandise. Most suppliers will advertise the fact they offer white labeled goods on their websites, so pick your niche and then find the right supplier and product for you. Once labeled, products can be sold via sites like eBay and Amazon, or from your own eCommerce store (discussed in a moment).
It’s sometimes hard to comprehend just how much people love t-shirts. And with the right niche, marketing, and tools, you can create an online t-shirt business that makes you extra money online while you sleep. Services like TeeSpring make it easier than ever to create a t-shirt drop-shipping business where they handle the sales, printing, and shipping, and you’re only responsible for design and marketing. For the people who land on my site from the “make money online” search, they stay on the site for an average of 4 minutes and 3 seconds, and they view an average of 2.47 pages (with a 60.20% bounce rate). ALL of these metrics are better than my site’s overall metrics, so I can at least say the traffic I’ve been receiving is decent (i.e. people aren’t landing and leaving right away).

You may not get a lot of traffic, but easy 1st page rankings are things I would not disregard, PLUS it’s just extra content for your site, so chase those keywords when you can’t find bigger searched ones.
Multi-vendor marketplaces, like ThemeForest, can be very successful. Chose a niche and create a vendor website for it. Your marketplace could be anything, from a platform for local artists to sell their work on, to an online digital product store. Once set up, invite people in that industry to sell their products on your site. You take a percentage of their profits when items sell.
